No team in the 2019 season suffered as many key injuries as the United Eagles experienced. When they finished the year, they had used up all the QB's on the roster and were resorting to Tyler Lippiatt, a talented running back to be their signal-caller. However, the benefit of so many injuries is that a number of underclassmen saw valuable varsity time. That experience, and another year of development, may help the Eagles push their way to the top of the league in 2020.
The Lisbon Blue Devils have turned to a former rival coach as their new mentor in 2020. Matt Altomare has returned to the sidelines after a brief hiatus. His main job in 2020 is instilling some confidence in a program that suffered both injuries and disappointments in 2019. Helping him is the return of play-makers Ryan McCullough and Tyler Welsh. Having them both back and healthy gives Altomare something to build his team around.
